So… let’s review a variety of nuts and their nutrition values as found in The FIX Bites:
Almonds: are a natural weight loss pill. Eat this nut prior to entering the gym or completing your exercise, it will provide you with all the protein and energy you will need for your cardio and strength training regime. Rich in L-arginine it helps to burn more fat and carbs during your workout.
Peanuts: these nuts are a great source of antioxidants and B Vitamins. Studies show that if you eat 1.5 oz of peanuts a day may reduce your risk of heart disease. Packed with fiber and protein they will keep you full. Peanuts may increase your metabolism.
Hazelnuts: are well know to fight against heart disease. Hazelnuts contain a considerable amount of magnesium which helps regulate the balance of calcium and potassium and is also crucial in blood pressure control. Hazelnuts are great for people with diabetes because they contain monounsaturated fats. they are filled with antioxidants,which alleviates diseases caused by inflammation.
